The Arab League said on Thursday that it supported a call by Sudan's President Omar al Bashir for talks with political rivals, urging world to relax sanctions imposed on the Arab country.
Speaking to the state-run Sudan News Agency (SUNA), AL chief Nabil el Araby wished more stability and development would be seen in Sudan.
Bashir's opening speech for his new presidential term reflects care to his people's interest, el Araby said, adding, he extended his hands for all.
Also, the AL chief described al Bashir's swearing-in ceremony as historic event and witnessed a wide-scale participation from Arab and African leaders.
Al Araby called for an end to sanctions imposed on Khartoum, saying, Sudan has successfully went through numerous challenges.
