
Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashed Al-Zayani, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, received in Riyadh today the delegation of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria, led by Paulo S?rgio Pinheiro.
During the meeting, conditions of refugees and immigrants from Syria, the world efforts exerted to deliver humanitarian relief items for them and provision of human protection for the needy were discussed.
The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic was established on 22 August 2011 by the Human Rights Council through with a mandate to investigate all alleged violations of international human rights law since March 2011 in the Syrian Arab Republic.
