
Alexandria Governor Reda Farahat attended Saturday a ceremony organized by St. Mark Coptic Church in Alexandria to greet the Christians on the Christmas.
Anba Pavli, the General Bishop of el Montazah Churches in Alexandria, attended the event.
The governor highlighted the speech of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday where he underlined that the Egyptians are characterized with good manners, according to a statement issued by the Alexandria Governorate.
He further said that Egypt's Christmas celebrations underline stability and unity in the country.
Meanwhile, the governor expressed his appreciation that Anba Pavli donated for (Basha'er el Khier 1) project which reflects the noble intention of the bishop to improve the livelihood of the citizens.
For his part, Anba Pavli greeted the attendees and highlighted the importance of entrenching the patriotic values in our children.
He hailed also the tight security measures taken to secure the churches.
