
An Alexandria misdemeanors court on Monday set February 9 to issue its ruling in the trial of 10 activists and two lawyers over charges of attacking Al-Raml police station to set some detainees free.
The activists are facing charges of attacking a police facility to forcibly free detainees involved in setting ablaze the headquarters of the Muslim Brotherhood group in the coastal city.
The activists include Mahinor el-Masri, Mohamed Mamdouh, Ibrahim Hassan, Journalist Youssef Shaban, Mohamed Mossad, Islam Mohamed Abdel-Qader, Ehab Ahmed Labin, Mohammad Abdel Fattah, Amr Said and Loqai el-Qahwagi.
Mahinor el-Masri is already sentenced to six months in jail and an EGP 50,000 fine over breaching the protest law.
