Alexandria Governor Mohamed Abdel Zaher on Thursday suggested forming a committee comprising legislators of the Parliament to deal with the rubbish problem and set conditions for selecting a new company for garbage collection.
He made the remarks during a meeting with a number of the House of Representatives' members in the presence of a representative of a garbage company to discuss ways to address the trash problem.
During the gathering, he pointed to measures taken to put forward the tender specifications of the new garbage system and conditions being set for contracting with a new rubbish company after terminating the contract's term with the current company in September.
He called for avoiding defects discovered in the previous contracts
