Alexandria Governor Reda Farahat said that the first National Youth Conference, currently in session in Sharm el Sheikh city, reflects the wise political leadership's keenness on supporting the Egyptian youth and their participation in all state institutions to make the country's future.
In a statement on Tuesday, Farahat lauded President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's call for declaring 2016 as "the year of Egyptian youth" and for holding this conference.
A Peace Marathon will be launched as part of the conference activities, he said, adding this marathon sends a message of peace from Egypt's youth to the whole world.
President Sisi, during the conference, will announce the "annual youth creativity award" in the scientific, cultural, artistic and sports fields to encourage youth creativity and innovation, Farahat said.
The three-day conference, under the theme "Innovate..Advance", is held under the aegis of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The second session of convention is held under the theme "Youth Vision of Linking Education System with the Labor Market".
A workshop titled "Education and Scientific Research" will be held on the fringe of the conference.
The workshop involves four sessions:
1- "Blended Learning: A New Vision of the Egyptian Education".
2- "The Future of Technical Education in Egypt".
3- "Proposals for the Development of Cultural Exchanges and Missions".
4- "Youth Vision of the Development of Scientific Research System".
The conference brings together 3,000 young people from different backgrounds. A large number of businessmen, public personalities, as well as governors and ministers also participate in the event.
