
Algeria condemned Saturday a suicide attack against a UN military base in northern Mali on Wednesday that killed three civilians and injured several others.
'We strongly condemn the cowardly suicide attack against the camp of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) in Ansongo (Gao region),'' the spokesman of the Algerian Foreign Ministry said in a statement carried by Algeria Press Service (APS).
The Foreign Ministry, expressed the solidarity of Algeria "with the families of the victims, governments and peoples of Niger and Mali,'' added that this new aggression shows once again that the situation in northern Mali remains fragile.
