
Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra said on Thursday that there was strong security coordination between his country and Egypt on the terrorism file.
"Several days ago, an important meeting was held in Cairo between Algerian Minister of State for African and North African Affairs Abdel-Qader Mesahel and Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and other senior officials," Lamamra told MENA correspondent at a press conference here with his Tunisian counterpart Taieb Baccouche.
He hailed the meeting as "valuable," stressing that consultations with Egypt will continue.
Algeria is assigned with the security coordination among Libya's neighbors.
