
Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra will head the Algerian delegation participating in the preparatory meeting of Arab foreign ministers due on March 26 ahead of the Arab summit due on March 28-29 in Sharm el Sheikh.
The agenda of the summit, which is held in fragile circumstances, including the latest developments of the Palestinian cause and the dangerous developments in Libya, Syria and Yemen along with means to face security threats and challenges faced in the Arab world, a statement of the Algerian Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.
This summit will also take up boosting Arab joint work and reforming and developing the Arab League, the statement added.
It will also tackle studying files related to promoting economic cooperation, the statement said.
This meeting will approve reports and recommendations that will be referred to the summit, it said.
During the summit, Lamamra will meet with a number of his Arab counterparts.
