Algeria has welcomed a newly-agreed peace deal in Yemen which strives to end violence that has killed and displaced hundreds of people in recent weeks.
"Algiers hopes that the UN-brokered agreement will lead to cessation of violence," said spokesman for the foreign ministry Abdelaziz Benali Chérif.
Also, Algeria calls on all political parties to show commitment to peace, partnership and the best interest of Yemen, the spokesman added.
Chérif renewed support to Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and his efforts to go through transition.
The agreement was signed on Sunday as part of efforts led by UN Secretary General's Special Adviser Jamal Benomar.
