Algerian Army Discovered and Destroyed 866 Mines in July

Algerian army units have discovered and destroyed 866 mines during the mine-clearing operation they carried out along the country's eastern and western borders in July 2016, an official source said Thursday according to state news agency APS.
Up to July 31, 2016, a total of 840,505 mines, including 697,042 antipersonnel mines, 137,814 anti-group mines and 5,649 flare mines were discovered and destroyed by army units, added the official source.
