
Algerian authorities said Thursday that there are six nationals, 51 French, eight Lebanese, and one Egyptian onboard the missing chartered Air Algerie flight, which disappeared off the radar earlier on a flight home from Burkina Faso.
The spokesman for Air Algerie, Zuhair Hawawi said in a statement that the flight was carrying 116 passengers and six Spanish crew members.
Hawawi noted that in addition to the six Algerians, the list includes 24 from Burkina Faso, 51 French nationals, eight Lebanese, five Canadians, four Germans and two from Luxemburg.
The spokesman added that onboard were also a national from Mali, one Belgian, one Nigerian, one from the Cameron, a Ukrainian, a Romanian, a Swiss and three remain unidentified.
Meanwhile, Lebanese Foreign ministry said in a statement that there were 20 nationals onboard the same flight which went missing.
The ministry added that it has requested a list of the passengers from the Algerian flight to confirm the missing nationals.
