
The Executive Director for Parliamentary Elections 2014, Abdullah bin Hassan Al-Buainain, met the Ambassadors of accredited to the Kingdom and briefed them on the election process on the day of casting ballots and vote sorting.
Al-Buainain praised the role of the Foreign Ministry and its readiness to provide all the necessary facilitations to ensure Bahrainis abroad are able to vote within the principles of honesty and transparency.
He also informed the ambassadors about the sureties of transparency and honesty in the judicial supervision over the election process and in the monitoring by civil society organizations of the parliamentary and municipal elections. The two sides reviewed relevant topics of shared interest, including answers to all queries and questions.
The election process abroad takes place at 29 diplomatic missions and consulates approved as polling stations on November 18 from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm as per local time in each country. The door had been open for registration of voters in the Kingdom's embassies and consulates for one week and and was closed on November 16.
