
A group of diplomats accredited to the Kingdom Bahrain visited the King Fahd Causeway at the invitation of Saudi Ambassador to Manama Dr. Abdulla bin Abdulmalik Al-Sheikh.
The ambassadors were received on arrival at the Bahraini side by Customs Chief Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, Deputy President of King Fahd Causeway Authority (KFCA) and Acting director-general Abdulrahman bin Sa’ad Al-Yahya.
KFCA Public Relations director Jamal bin Mohammed Al-Yaqoot briefed the envoys on the multi-phased construction of the causeway and the flow of traffic. Land exit director Colonel Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Kubaisi outlined customs and anti-narcotics efforts to combat contraband.
The ambassadors were then briefed by KFCA assistant director general Mohammed Ahmed Al-Jassim on development plans. Kuwaiti Ambassador, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Shaikh Azzam bin Mubarak Al-Sabah and Saudi Ambassador Dr. Abdulla bin Abdulmalik Al-Sheikh were presented with commemorative shields.
