Works of the 31st Arab Maghreb Union (AMU) Foreign Ministers Council began Sunday in Morocco’s capital Rabat, reported Algeria’s state-run news agency (APS). The meeting will be devoted to the means likely to reinforce the Maghreb Joint Action, in the light of the developments and the challenges witnessed by the region and the issues relating to the Maghreb economic integration and the continuation of the Union reform. These works were preceded, on Saturday, by the 48th meeting of AMU follow –up committee and the meeting of senior officials held Thursday and Friday, at AMU headquarters in Rabat. the Arab Maghreb Union was founded in February 17th 1989 with the membership of Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia.
