Ambassador Tiina Intelmann, the President of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute at the International Criminal Court (ICC) will visit Cairo next Sunday. A statement released by the Estonian embassy said ambassador Intelmann of Estonian origin, will hold talks, during her two day visit, with officials from the foreign ministry and representatives of the Egyptian Shura council. The Assembly of States Parties is the management oversight and legislative body of the International Criminal Court and is made up of representatives of the States that have ratified and acceded to the Rome Statute. The assembly also decides on the ICC’s budget, the election of the judges and of the Prosecutor and the Deputy Prosecutors.
