Residents of Beheira and Gharbeia on Saturday staged anti-terrorism rallies to support the Armed Forces and the police in their war against terror groups.
In Beheira, dozens of lawyers toured main streets to offer condolences to the army and the police and condemn terrorist attacks that hit security and military headquarters in Egypt's North Sinai governorate late on Thursday.
They chanted pro-state slogans.
In Gharbeia, a mass rally was staged by workers of Misr Spinning and Weaving in Mahalla, who called on the state bodies to bring the perpetrators to justice and uproot terrorism.
Earlier, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed that Egypt is confronting the strongest secret groups in the world, noting that there are countries which are led by leaders of such group and they do not want Egypt to enjoy stability.
