
The command of the Arab coalition, battling rebels in Yemen, said Sunday an creation independent commission of inquiry is formed to assess accidents and targeting mechanisms, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
In a statement, the command stressed respecting and committing to the international humanitarian law and rights, and regretted civilian casualties in Yemen.
The coalition said the objective was to develop a clear and comprehensive report on each incident with the conclusions, lessons learned, recommendations and measures that should be taken" to spare civilians.
It also reiterated that the command takes all precautions to protect civilians, medical staff, humanitarian organizations, relief agencies, journalists and media workers.
The alliance's command described media reports claiming civilian casualties by the Command's operations as categorically baseless.
