
The Saudi-led coalition aircraft on Friday shelled some sites of Houthi militants and forces loyal to former president president Ali Saleh in Taiz city.
Meanwhile, fierce fighting erupted between pro-legitimacy Yemeni forces and Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) members with Houthi militants on all front lines in the city, the military council in Taiz said.
Also, the Yemeni forces and the PRC members have advanced towards some areas in western Taiz after violent clashes with few number of the Houthis hiding in these areas, the military council added.
As many as 14 Houthi militants were killed and 27 others injured in the clashes that broke out on Thursday in the city, while 27 members of the PRC were killed and five others wounded in the confrontations, the media center of Taiz military council asserted.
Furthermore, a Yemeni citizen was killed and five others were injured in indiscriminate bombardment of residential districts in Taiz by Houthis, the media center added.
