Arab Foreign Ministers held consultations behind closed doors on Sunday, ahead of their 142nd ministerial session. Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby attended.
The ministers discussed key issues on the agenda of the ministerial meeting due later today, aiming at reaching the least consensus on them, especially what is relevant to the reformation of the Arab League, a source at the League told KUNA.
The meeting addressed countering cross-border terrorism and the threats posed by armed militia and terrorist groups to security and stability in some Arab states, in addition to developments in Syria, Yemen, Libya and Lebanon, the source added.
Future support to the Palestinian cause featured high on the consultation meeting, considering the plan offered by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to the American Administration.
The Kuwaiti delegation to the consultation meeting was led by First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
