
Arab foreign ministers have praised successful steps taken on the road toward achieving a national reconciliation in Somalia
The top diplomats also welcomed efforts to rebuild state institutions in Somalia, they said in a statement issued late Sunday at the end of the 144th session of the Arab League Council.
The AL mission in Somalia is also appreciated for its role and cooperation with government troops in the African country to restore security there, according to the statement.
The Arab foreign ministers also decided to offer political and financial support for the Somali federal government to help it rebuild state institutions and complete the political process based on "Vision 2016".
They urged AL member states to offer immediate support for the Somali government to rehabilitate the security and military establishments in the country.
