Arab foreign ministers extraordinary meeting opened here on Saturday chaired by Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamed Abdulaziz to discuss the latest Palestinian situation and US-facilitated peace negotiations with Israel. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas presented a detailed report on the outcomes of recent peace talks with the Israeli side in which he suggested Palestinian options for dealing with the current situation amid available indications that no progress was made in peace negotiations as Israel insisted on its settlement policy. Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al Araby reviewed the league's efforts in view of Palestinian-Israeli peace negotiations. He highlighted the league's efforts through the Arab ministerial delegation formed during the Doha summit in March and their meetings with US Secretary of State John Kerry. Qatar's delegation to the meeting was led by its permanent delegate to the Arab League HE Ambassador Saif Muqqadam Al Buainain.
