
Head of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union Ahmed al Jarwan said the union will take part in observing the parliamentary elections with a delegation comprising all Arab nationalities expect the Egyptian.
The union has set up a comprehensive plan for observing the event which will take place from October 17 till December 2, he told a press conference here on Sunday.
The union participated in previous elections in Egypt, he said, adding that the coming parliamentary election is being followed up with great interest.
The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union's committee in charge of following up elections will nominate a number of non-Egyptian Arab parliamentarians to observe the elections in the majority of governorates and constituencies and present a report on the entire process.
The upcoming elections are important in Egypt's history and the union which is awaiting new members to join in, he added.
