An Arab League anti-Israel committee will convene in Cairo Monday to mull efforts exerted to stop the settlement and end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will chair the meeting that will gather Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki, Jordanian Foreign Minister Bishr Al Khasawneh, a representative of Morocco, and Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
Permanent Representative of Palestine to the Arab League Jamal Al Chouibki said the meeting would be held upon a Palestinian request to coordinate efforts for issuing a resolution of the UN Security Council to halt Israeli settlement and move to end the occupation according to a timetable, as well as studying the various options to confront Israeli excesses.
