Arab League assistant secretary general lauds choosing Abul Gheit as new Arab League chief

Arab League Assistant Secretary General for Media and Communications Haifa Abu Ghazala said that new AL secretary general Ahmed Abul Gheit whose term will start in July has several diplomatic expertise and potentials.
In statements before leaving Cairo airport heading for Abu Dhabi, Abu Ghazala said that there is a big crisis in the Arab region and needs that the new AL secretary general moves at the Arab level to support the Arab League.
The Arab League lays big trust in Abul Gheit because of his rich diplomatic expertise, she said.
The AL member states are in dire need to implement the development agenda approved by the UN and the world leaders in September, she added.
The Palestinian cause is still a central issue in the AL, added she.
Abu Ghazala thanked current AL Secretary General Nabil el Araby for the efforts he exerted during his term.
