
Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby held a meeting with the Council of Arab Ambassadors to the United Nations in New York to discuss the outcome of the UNSC meeting, which was held yesterday to discuss the Palestinian issue.
The meeting also tackled the repercussions of the Israeli violations toward Al Aqsa Mosque and Al Quds along with providing the necessary international protection for the Palestinian people.
An agreement was reached during the meeting on the future steps that will be taken by the Arab group in New York to follow up this issue in the UN, according to a statement issued by the general secretariat of the Arab League on Saturday.
Araby, meanwhile, met with UN political affairs chief Jeffrey Feltman, and discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian issue along with ways of activating international protection for the Palestinians along with the Syrian crisis in light of the outcome of the four-way meeting between the US, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
The meeting also discussed the situation in Libya and the efforts of UN Special Envoy to Libya Bernardino Leon and efforts to form a new government
