
Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby commended here on Wednesday the outcomes of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries' summit held in Doha on Tuesday.
In a statement after he returned from Doha where he participated in the summit, Al-Araby underscored the significance of the summit's final statement which included some stances that have positive impacts on overall Arab relations and Arab stance toward challenges that the region faces.
He hailed efforts exerted by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in collaboration with the GCC leaders in healing the rifts, restoring harmony among the GCC countries as well as strengthening Arab joint action in economic, security and political domains.
Al-Araby voiced his gratitude to Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani for his hospitality.
The Arab League chief also commended the initiative launched by Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz that "healed the rifts and cleared atmospheres of Arab-Gulf relations".
