
Arab League Secretary General Nabil El Araby has welcomed the election of Beji Caid Essebsi as the new president of Tunisia.
In a press statement released on Tuesday, Araby greeted Essebsi and the Tunisian people over this important achievement, noting that the elections reflected a free will of the Tunisian people and their confidence in the president-elect.
Araby asserted that the Arab League will fully cooperate with the newly elected leadership and extend all possible help to entrench the democratic process and bolster the State institutions with the aim of achieving the aspirations of the Tunisian people.
