
An Arab League (AL) delegation headed by AL Assistant Secretary General Abdel Latif Ebid inspected on Sunday a number of polling stations in districts of Al Fashir city, the capital of North Darfur, to stand on the latest preparations before a planned referendum.
In a statement, Ebid said the AL delegation members checked up on to what extent all polling centers in the city are equipped with the necessary factors, adding they visited the headquarters of the High Elections Commission to make sure that all preparations of the referendum were made.
The security situation in the city is stable, he added.
The voting will start on Monday
