Arab League holds meeting on Syria

The Arab League Council convened on Tuesday at the level of permanent representatives an emergency meeting on Syria's civil war. The meeting came at a request from Qatar and was chaired by Amr Abu Ata, the permanent representative of Egypt to the Arab League. The meeting tackles the latest developments in Syria ahead of an international peace conference on ending the country's civil war. The conference is meant to include representatives of the rebels and the regime.
