The Arab League (AL) warned on Sunday of the resumption of the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories and its repercussions on the region's stability.
Despite Israeli pressure on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to dissuade him from heading for the UN Security Council, he is struggling to end the Israeli occupation, Mohammed Sabih, Deputy Secretary General for Palestinian Affairs at the Arab League (AL), said.
Sabih made these remarks during a meeting of the 93rd session of the Supervisors' Conference on Palestinian Affairs in Arab Host Countries currently held in Egypt.
"We calls on the UN Council to issue a resolution setting a time frame for Israeli withdrawal", Sabih said.
