
The Arab League launched Monday the Arab decade for civil society organizations 2016-2026 in cooperation with the the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby, meanwhile, honored members of the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet, which was awarded the Noble Prize in appreciation of its efforts in sponsoring the national dialogue in Tunisia.
Araby underlined the importance of launching the Arab decade for civil society organizations, especially after the crucial role played by the civil society to develop the Arab communities in the last years.
The Arab League will continue its efforts and work with the Arab civil society organizations in order to cement partnership and move toward building strategic partnership which attains sustainable development and contribute to entrenching peace and security in Arab countries, he added.
