A delegation of the Arab League (AL) observers will monitor the upcoming parliamentary elections in Egypt to take place between October 17 and December 2.
The AL also observed the referendum on the Egyptian constitution and the presidential election, which were the first two phases of a road map for the future, said Haifaa Abu Ghazala, the head of the AL media sector, Wednesday.
She said the AL will be monitoring the parliamentary elections at the request of the High Election Commission (HEC).
Arab countries are keen on following up the parliamentary vote in Egypt, which is an important step on the road toward achieving democracy and reform in the country, Abu Ghazal said.
