The current peace process deadlock and the dominance of Israel over the Palestinian affairs serve nothing but terrorism, the Arab League (AL) said Friday.
Arab League Assistant chief for Palestinians affairs Saeed Abo Ali said the statement, issued after the Paris conference for launching a Middle East peace process last week, was below the Palestinian and Arab aspirations.
The statement was issued after hard negotiations conducted by the participating Arab States and AL to reach such compatibility, with minimum level of many considerations, Abo Ali said.
It was just a press release and is not considered a terms of reference. It only aimed at bringing the Palestinian issue back to the center of international attention, he added.
The Paris conference underlined the importance of a two-state solution and the importance of removing all threats to this solution, especially settlement construction.
