Nabil Al-Araby, Arab League Secretary-General, has met with Bernardino Leon, UN Special Envoy in Libya.
In a statement issued by the Arab League yesterday, the parties discussed latest developments in the Libyan dossier, most notably the round of negotiations with different Libyan parties in Sukheirat, Morocco. It also underlined significance of joint work between the two organisations in the fight against Daesh, as well as raising the level of Libyan security capabilities, which would enable it to regain control over the country.
The Arab League Secretary-General said that he supports all diplomatic efforts, especially the ones by the UN Envoy, which aim to reach a political solution to the Libyan crisis.
