The Arab League called for an immediate probe to arrest all persons involved in the death of Palestinian Authority minister Ziad Abu Ein.
Abu Ein, the head of the anti-wall and settlement commission, died after being beaten by Israeli security forces and inhaling tear gas during a protest in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday.
In a statement, assistant secretary general for Palestine sector at the Arab League Mohammed Sobeih said Abu Ein's assassination is being included in a file the pan-Arab body will submit to the International Criminal Court about Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
Sobeih described Abu Ein's death as a premeditated 'cold-blooded' crime.
Israel's policies are based in part on the elimination of active elements in Palestinian lands, he said, adding that Abu Ziad's assassination was not the first nor will it be the last.
