
The Arab League (AL) has welcomed a call by Yemeni President Abdrabu Mansour Hadi for holding a session of dialogue of the Yemeni parties concerned in the Saudi capital Riyadh on May 17.
AL Assistant Secretary General Ambassador Ahmed bin Helli, in press statements on Tuesday, asserted full support for the efforts exerted by the Gulf Cooperation Council for settling theYemeni crisis.
He further hailed the stance adopted by the recent Arab Summit in Sharm el Sheikh supporting the Decisive Storm operation in Yemen.
He further asserted that whatsoever the developments in Yemen, dialogue will remain the prime and major avenue for settling the country's crisis.
He explained that the Decisive Storm operation was launched after all paths to dialogue were closed by the Houthi group who resorted to force against the State institutions.
