Arab organisation lauds Egyptian army for crushing militants in Sinai

The Arab Civil Parties Organization sent Thursday a cable to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi lauding the heroic role of army personnel in Sinai confrontations against terrorists.

The organization said the Egyptian army crushed terrorists in Sinai and taught them a lesson they will never forget.

The organization added that the army was not defending Egypt only, but also the Arab nation as a whole.

The organization's spokesman Mahmoud Nafadi said the organization's members cherished the Egyptian army achievements and suggested donating blood to the injured Egyptian heroes.

On Wednesday, terrorists simultaneously attacked five checkpoints in Sinai, then the army engaged with them in confrontations.

About 17 army personnel and 100 terrorists were killed and scores injured in the clashes.
