
The Arab Parliament condemned today at the conclusion of its fourth meeting at the headquarters of the Arab League, Iran and Hezbollah's interference in internal affairs of the Arab countries.
The Arab Parliament, in a statement, rejected any foreign interference of any party in any of the Arab countries, in a manner that jeopardises the Arab national security.
Arab Parliament Speaker, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, stressed in a statement today that the Hezbollah is a terrorist party, adding that the Arab League, many international conventions and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, took a similar tone, due to its negative interventions in many countries of the region.
On Iran's occupation to the three UAE islands of Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb and Abu Mousa, the Parliament reiterated the UAE's peaceful approach to pursue dialogue and good-neighbourliness. It also renewed its call for Iran to sit at the table with the UAE to resolve the issue amicably, or refer it to the International of Court Justice.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, the Arab Parliament declared its support for nomination of the Palestinian activist Marwan Barghouthi for the Nobel Peace Prize, calling for exerting efforts to support this nomination.
About the situation in Yemen, the Arab Parliament welcomed the gathering of the Yemeni parties, which will be held in Kuwait tomorrow. It stressed its full support for the efforts of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to achieve the reconciliation among the various parties in Yemen.
On the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, the Arab Parliament confirmed its support for the Syrian right to claim the entire Golan Heights occupied by Israel in June 1967.
It condemned the seizure of natural resources in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, looting of its water resources, and also condemned the building and expansion of settlements and transferring of settlers to exploit the natural resources.
