Army, police carry out joint patrols to secure vital facilities

Military troops were deployed Friday in various governorates to help police protect citizens and secure vital facilities and main roads.

Forces have been put on high alert to firmly deal with any attempt to threat citizens or destabilize the country.

Commands of the various military regions have deployed patrols, rapid deployment forces and members of the special forces to help the police in securing the country.

The Western Military Region, in coordination with the air force and border guards stepped up security measures to secure the border region and prevent any infiltration attempts.

Also, the second and third field armies continued the comprehensive operation "Martyr's Right" to counter terror activities in North and Central Sinai districts.

The Armed Forces and police are on highest alert as intensive security deployments are seen along the Suez Canal navigation course.
