
The strategy of following up all the projects and sectors using the latest modern technology systems will be announced in November, Minister of Planning Ashraf el-Arabi said.
Arabi's remarks came during the 1st session of a two-day conference on Egypt after the January 25 Revolution which was held at Cairo University.
The would-be followed-up projects work for eradicating poverty and reforming health and education systems, developing Upper Egypt and reforming the administrative system, Arabi said.
Huge investments were pumped for developing Upper Egyptian governorates and improving their infrastructure and services, he said.
Meanwhile, Heba el-Leithy, a professor at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, called for encouraging investments to raise growth rates and decrease poverty levels.
Leithy called for establishing a data base for the slums that lack proper services and utilities.
