At least 19 Iraqis were killed and another 28 injured as a suicide bomber attacked a Shiite house of religious mourning in a neighbourhood in western Baghdad on Sunday.
The blast was reported to KUNA via a senior security source.
Violence and explosions have been on the rise in Baghdad despite authorities there assuring the public that the security is tight amid the looming threat of Islamic State's (ISIL) militants across neighbouring cities and provinces.
Earlier, Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah left Baghdad after a one-day visit during which he had led an Arab League delegation which aimed to reiterate solidarity with the Iraqi government.
The delegation met key Iraqi officials, including, the president, prime minister, foreign minister and parliament speaker.
