Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa congratulated on Thursday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the Egyptian people on the inauguration of the New Suez Canal.
In a statement, Gomaa said the project stands as a turning point in Egypt’s history following four years of political and economic instability.
The mega project reflects the strong will of Egyptians to make progress and welfare for their country, he added.
A new website was designed to contribute to propagating the tolerant and moderate teachings of Islam that rejects all forms of terror, violence and extremism, he asserted.
Gomaa leads a delegation from the Awqaf Ministry to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the new Suez Canal.
