Awqaf minister praises tolerance among Egyptian people

Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa has praised the spirit of tolerance and understanding prevailing among the Egyptian people.
Islam promotes tolerance, understanding and dialogue, Gomaa said in statements following a meeting with bishop Demetris Emanyos of the Saint Catherine monastery.
It was a spiritual meeting, said Gomaa, adding that it focused on humanitarian values that are in the heart of all heavenly religions.
