Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa reiterated Sunday Egypt's interest in boosting ties with Morocco in various domains.
Chairing the Egyptian delegation to the religious minorities' rights conference in the Muslim countries, hosted by Moroccan Awqaf Ministry in cooperation with the Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies, Mokhtar praised the warm reception he received upon arrival.
Mokhtar is expected to deliver the inaugural speech during the conference.
Egyptian delegation groups mufti Shawki Allam, member of the Awqaf's supreme council for Islamic Affairs Osama el Azhari, mufti's adviser Magdi Ashour, and Cairo University's President Gaber Nassar.
Allam hailed the deep historic bilateral relations with Morocco, which enjoyed a great interest from Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
