
Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa will chair on Saturday a plenary meeting to discuss President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directions on renewing the religious discourse.
A statement issued by the Awqaf Ministry on Friday said that the meeting will tackle preparations for thefourth cultural forum which will be organized on January 10 on methods of modernizing the religious discourse.
The meeting, which will be held at the headquarters of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, will be attended by a raft of scholars and thinkers.
President Sisi ordered during his speech on Thursday on the occasion of Prophet Muhammed's birthday to face extremist thoughts through renewing the religious discourse.
