Minister of Awqaf Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa has warned against appointing Muslim Brotherhood loyalists in any executive posts at state institutions.
"The empowerment of any MB loyalists through appointments to any executive positions at the religious, cultural and media institutions in the Arab world or other state institutions is a national treason," Gomaa said in press statements on Friday.
Gomaa noted that terrorist groups pose a grave threat to society.
Gomaa called on Arab religious, cultural and media institutions to assume their roles in fighting terrorism.
He praised President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's call for countering extremist ideologies in the Arab world.
