Bahrain Centre for Excellence held today at His Royal Highness the Prime Minister's Court a meeting to review and evaluate progress in achieving the programme's goals and determine the centre's future plan. The meeting was chaired by Minister of State for Follow-up Affairs Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Mutawa, State Minister for Defence Affairs Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa and Head of HRH the Prime Minister's Court Shaikh Hussam bin Isa Al Khalifa. At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by ministries Undersecretaries, Heads of government authorities and officials, the State Minister for Defence Affairs praised the centre's efforts to improve performance of public institutions and promote the spirit of competitiveness and creativity. On his part, the State Minister for Follow-up Affairs said the next phase of the programme will focus on field work to achieve the needed positive change in anchoring the culture of excellence in all establishments and bringing about more progress and prosperity to Bahrain. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister Court Chief stressed the aim of the centre is to achieve the vision of HRH the Premier to hone the skills of the Bahraini and click on their potentials. He urged more efforts to be exerted to spread the culture of excellence, criticizing regress of some establishments' performance and demanding needed mechanisms to be drawn to tackle that.
