Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the airstrikes in Aden, the targeting of the Presidential Palace and its surroundings, and Fridayآ’s mosque bombings in Sanaآ’a that killed hundreds of innocent civilians.
According to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the Ministry expressed deep concerns over deplorable recent developments in Yemen.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that such appalling acts and cowardly terrorist attacks aimed to fuel the sectarian and internal conflict in order to undermine the efforts of bringing stability and security to Yemen.
The Ministry reiterated Bahrainآ’s unwavering position in supporting the legitimacy and the people of Yemen, as well as the national and President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadiآ’s efforts to resume the political process on regional and international grounds consistent with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)آ’s Initiative and its implementation mechanisms, the National Dialogue Conference outcomes, and the relevant United Nations Security Council resolution Number 22201 to achieve Yemenآ’s stability and territorial integrity.
The Ministry called on all regional and international players to step up their efforts to create the conducive environment to the success of the Yemen Conference to be held in Riyadh under the auspices of the GCC, and called for by King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud at the request of the Yemeni President to bring all Yemeni political parties who are keen on the stability and security of Yemen to dialogue.
