The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque by dozens of extremist settlers with the participation of one Israeli minister on Sunday morning and attacking worshipers under the official protection of Israeli occupation forces.
"The Foreign Ministry stresses that these barbaric practices are an unacceptable assault and an insult to the feelings of all Muslims, as well as being a serious breach and a flagrant violation of international laws and an act incompatible with the principles of heavenly religions that criminalize offending religious sanctities and emphasizes their preservation and protection," the ministry said in a statement.
"The ministry affirms that the continued abuses of Israeli violations in Palestine calls for international action to serve as a deterrent for such abuses, achieve adequate protection for the Palestinian people and protect religious, cultural and civilizational places in the Holy City of Jerusalem, particularly the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Foreign Ministry reiterates that international action must respond firmly to all Israeli violations and take the necessary legal and just measures compelling Israel to fulfill its international obligations.
"The ministry points the renewal of Bahrain's firm position in supporter of the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to an independent Palestinian state and its capital in East Jerusalem, as well as a full Israeli withdrawal from the Arab territories occupied in 1967, in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions of international legitimacy and also according to the Arab peace initiative."
